Asia Ellington is a traditional and digital artist from the Bay Area, California, currently a Freelance Illustrator and a student at the Academy of Art University of San Francisco! She takes a lot of inspiration from her love for animation, mid century art & design, vintage fashion, film, and pop-culture. If she isn't working, you can usually find her running around Disneyland with her family, or doodling people and pigeons in the city.
Asia grew up in American Canyon, California. She got her first job in High School as a Caricature Artist for Kaman's Art Shoppes. Through five years with Kaman's, Asia was able to develop an extremely fast-paced sketch style and even got to travel, which included working, training, and supervising artists in various theme parks in California, Texas, and Ohio. In Fall 2017 she transferred from community college to The Academy of Art University to study Visual Development. Along side that she began to work for herself as a Freelance Artist, running her own Etsy shop, and began to show her art at various pop-up galleries throughout California. Some of her favorite projects so far have been creating Lucasfilm-licensed sketch cards for Topps, and creating merchandise artwork for Drag superstars including Kim Chi & Miss Vanessa Vanjie Mateo!
She's always on the hunt for a new project and loves to collaborate with people. For 2019 she's hoping to branch off into bigger and better projects and hoping to secure her dream job of design characters! Got a project? Email Asia at firstname.lastname@example.org!
